UCLPartners Lead Provider update
As Lead Provider, UCLPartners was commissioned by Heath Education England (HEE) to deliver post-graduate medical and dental education to over 2000 junior doctors across north, central and east London. Following a review of the Lead Provider model across the whole of London, this role is coming to an end between August and October of 2017. This will mean that the management of specialties and training programme directors will become the responsibility of HEE. For the majority of specialties the date of transition will be the day before your specialty rotates. Click here to find out when your specialty will transition to HEE. We will continue to manage specialties until the date of their transition.

Who does what in Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education?
Health Education England
Health Education England (HEE) replaced the functions of the Strategic Health Authority from April 2013. HEE will provide leadership for the new education and training system with a remit for multidisciplinary education and training. HEE is responsible for commissioning education and training through the development of local education and training boards (LETBs). Health Education North Central and East London is one of these LETBs and specifically the LETB which UCLPartners is accountable to. Visit Health Education England.
Health Education North Central and East London
Health Education North Central and East London (HE NCEL) is a LETB responsible for commissioning healthcare education and training on a multidisciplinary basis across the North Central and East London sector. In London there are two other LETBs, serving the South and North West, with which HE NCEL works closely. UCLPartners is directly accountable to HE NCEL.
